Chris Butler

Engineering Service Learning

Chris Butler is the Assistant Director of The Foster Family Center of Engineering Service Learning. Butler graduated with a B.S. in Environmental Engineering and an M.S. in Environmental Systems from the University of California, Merced.  Since 2016, he developed and increased the Engineering Service Learning program at UC Merced to serve as a cornerstone design course at UC Merced. Over this period, he has completed over 30 real-world projects for the local non-profit service sector in Merced California.  Butler continues to develop new partnerships with both non-profit and industry partners to ensure that UC Merced students have the necessary professional and technical experience to start their professional careers upon graduation.

Chloe Rivoallon

Event Coordinator Assistant 

Chloe Rivoallon is a fourth year student that, currently serves as the Event Coordinating Assistant for Engineering Service Learning.  Rivoallon employs her major, Business Management and Economics to oversee and coordinate over 35 workshops that Engineering Service Learning provides each semester. Rivoallon joined the Engineering Service Learning Team to improve relations between the University of California, Merced and the community. Rivoallon aspires to give back to communities and hopes to obtain a marketing position in a non-profit organization. Post graduation, Rivoallon hopes to utilize her experiences to acquire a CPA Certification and become an Accountant.
