Spring 2014 Final Presentations

Date:
May 10, 2014 - 8:00am to 11:00am

The Foster Family Center for Engineering Service Learning would like to invite you to attend the Spring 2013 Engineering Service Learning Showcase, to be held on Tuesday, December 17 at 11:30 a.m.  As you may know, The Foster Center was created by Sue Foster and her family in 2004 to support UC Merced students in their efforts to improve our community, and to that end, the Foster Center has garnered the support of many local leaders.  As a result, the Engineering Service Learning course was created to realize this vision.  Each semester, multidisciplinary teams of students from across UC Merced work alongside community and industry partners to identify and solve compelling problems faced by non-profit organizations.  Engineering Service Learning students learn design, through the application of the unique skillsets they are developing in their respective majors, and how they can impact their community as professionals.

We would like to invite you to share in the work that our teams have been performing as part of this experience.  Each team will be presenting their designs and the progress they have made over the past semester.

Please join us for a reception directly following the presentations in the PG&E Engineering Service Learning Laboratory (SE 160).
