Fresno Discovery Center - Ball Wall
Project Description
The Fresno Discovery Center is the premier Children’s Museum in the Central Valley. Beginning in August 2021, UC Merced students updated an existing ball-drop exhibit with a twist. The updated ball-drop exhibit utilized multiple components designed to catch and return the falling ball while passing it through various obstacles. This exhibit showcased the student’s applicable knowledge of physics and engineering designing. Students in the Engineering Service-Learning course designed, tested their components, and delivered this product to the Fresno Discovery Center in May 2022.
