Oluwatosin Ajetunmobi Team Member Oluwatosin Ajetunmobi is a second year Bioengineering student pursuing a career in the medical field. As a team member on the LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Lab Engineering Service-Learning team, Ajetunmobi is working to get a hold the energy consumption of the Sierra Terrace building of the University of California Merced and get the building recertified. Ajetunmobi has really passion for helping people in need and science, so he hopes to have a career in the medical field. Ajetunmobi joined the Engineering Service-Learning team to gain professional skills that will help him succeed in the real world. |

Luis Angulo Project Manager Luis Angulo is a third year Mechanical Engineering student and the project manager of the LEED Lab Engineering Service-Learning Team. Being part of this project provides him a meaningful opportunity to help inspire and pioneer a future dedicated to sustainability and clean energy practices. Academically, Angulo is interested in robotics innovation and has been an active member of the Robotic Society at UC Merced. Angulo hopes to become a leading expert in the field of Mechatronics for the future. Angulo plans on using this skill set to improve efficiency in hard-labor in California for people that suffer from dangerous working conditions. |

Eric Brown Team Leader Eric Brown is a fourth year Environmental Engineering student and a team leader for a sub-group in the Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Lab class. He joined LEED lab in order to supplement his experience with knowledge in environmental design and sustainability management. He has working experience doing fieldwork for species conservation using ArcGIS in San Diego and was a team officer for a completed Engineering Service Learning Project, Naturalist App. As a graduating senior with an emphasis on hydrology, Eric expects to pursue a career in wastewater treatment or water resources management. |

Alejandro Downey Team Leader Alejandro Downey is a fifth year Mechanical Engineering major and team leader of the LEED Lab Engineering Service Learning Team. He plans to use his knowledge from his previous internships with electrical and electronics engineers to eventually pursue a future in robotics systems. Alejandro also has a strong passion for battling climate change and expects to gain experience on carbon and energy output data collection, in order to find ways to decrease excess energy usage worldwide. Through this project, he plans to gain more knowledge on sustainability, in order to promote a more ecologically friendly environment.

Julia Gionet-Gonzales Assistant Project Manager Julia Gionet-Gonzales is a third year Mechanical Engineer student and the assistant project manager of the LEED Lab Team. Julia has been part of many engineering clubs on campus including ASABE, ESW, SA, and AIAA. LEED Lab was of interest to her because of her passion for sustainability. Being part of this project will help give her more experience within sustainability therefore opening more doors for her future. She also has a strong passion for hands on engineering and hopes to pursue a career in sustainability. |

Gabriel Irizarry Torres Intellectual Property Officer Gabriel Irizarry is a second year Computer Science and Engineering student pursuing a career in the tech industry. As the IPO on the LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Lab Engineering Service Learning team, Irizarry is working on the Indoor Environmental Quality and Materials and Resources credits to help facilitate the team’s goal of obtaining LEED Gold Certification for the Sierra Terraces buildings. Irizarry works as an At Home Advisor for Apple, this inspired him to further explore sustainability and “green” living. Irizarry hopes to gain a greater understanding of documentation, communication, and leadership. |

Klarisse Moncada Procurement and Finance Officer Klarisse Moncada is a fourth-year student, pursuing her major in Environmental Engineering. She is the Procurement and Financial Officer of the LEED Lab Engineering Service Learning Team. Moncada is participating in the LEED lab team because she is very passionate about sustainability and sees this as an opportunity to gain a better understanding on such practices. She also hopes to gain hands-on experience on working with a team of professionals. In her free time, Moncada enjoys reading, spending time with her friends and family, and traveling. In the future, she hopes to work in the field of sustainability or water and wastewater treatment. |

Dayane Nascimento Team Member Dayane Nascimento is a fourth year pursing a degree in Mechanical Engineering whose ultimate goal is to work for the engineering department of an entertainment company such as Disney, Universal, NBC., etc. She is a team member on the LEED lab engineering service learning to obtain more knowledge about sustainability and gain experience that is applicable to the real world. Nascimento works with Formula SAE to build an electrical go cart meanwhile her main emphasis is suspensions and is a member at large for finance for a social organization held on campus. |

Rosa Sanchez Team Leader Rosa Sanchez is a third year Earth System Science major focusing on the flora and fauna of California. Sanchez joined the LEED Lab Engineering Service Learning team because of its challenging and rigorous work environment as well as exposure to small community engagement. Through this project, she plans to practice her collaboration skills, understand what it takes for a building to be LEED certified, partake in leadership development, and learn how to put human centered designs to use. Sanchez hopes to apply the knowledge gained and use it for her future career in conservation and sustainability. |

Kelly Thai Communications Officer Kelly Thai is a first year Environmental Engineering student who seeks to further explore and gain experience in the civil engineering field. In addition to being apart of the ESL LEED Lab this semester, she is also on the leadership council for the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and is currently co-running an event called "Expanding Your Horizons" that inspires young girls to presue a career in STEM. She also has experience working alongside Eco-Reps on campus in a seminar called Student Leadership In Climate Resilience (SLICR) where a eco-conscience group would brainstorm ideas of how to further prioritize sustainibility on campus. Her passion in green technology and design led her to join LEED Lab as further insight to what aspects go into building sustainible structures. |
