Risk assessments are the determination of a quantitative or qualitative value of risk related to a concrete situation and a recognized threat (known as a hazard).  In all types of complex systems sophisticated risk assessments are often performed when it concerns threats to life, environment or property.  This workshop introduces the main concepts of risk assessments and provides participants with real experience in performing risk assessments.
