Risk Assessment Skill Session

Risk assessments are the determination of quantitative or qualitative values of risk related to concrete situations and recognized threats (known as hazards).

In all types of complex systems, sophisticated risk assessments are often performed regarding threats to life, environment or property. This one-hour workshop introduces the main concepts of risk assessments and provides participants with real experience in performing risk assessment.

The UC Merced Engineering Service Learning program attracts students from all backgrounds and grade levels.  This exciting design course allows students to work on truly multidisciplinary teams to provide solutions to the challenges faced by not-for-profit community partners and prepare UC Merced students for future careers while increasing their desire to serve others. 

The Engineering Service Learning Skill Session workshop series allows students to receive personal instruction and develop practical skills that help to prepare them in their projects and future careers.

All Skill Session workshops are open to all UC Merced students. Free food is always provided.
