Instructional Lab I Team for Fall 2015

Ajeé Akintunji, Project Manager

Ajeé Akintunji is a second year Bioengineering student. She chose this group because she felt it would give her a chance to develop better teamwork skills. She also wanted to have a hand in working to improve the experience of students who will take the Strength of Materials course. Ajeé looks forward to teaching, spreading knowledge and spreading positivity to the people she comes in contact with. She loves playing sports, dancing, creative writing and mathematics; Ajeé enjoys Calculus the most

Zachary Cothren, Assistant Project Manager

Zachary Cothren, is currently a senior in the Computer Science & Engineering Program at UC at Merced. Computer science have been a long time passion of his, since beginning in high school as a sophomore. His hobbies include writing, game coding, video games, anime, ttrpgs, and more. With his industry experience garnered during his internship he hope to be a positive influence on the program and the environment of the program.

Zachary Clemens, Communications Officer

Zachary Clemens is a first year Materials Science and Engineering student at the UC Merced. He chose IL1 because he wanted a way to help teachers and students alike by developing tools and aids for the modern classroom. He hopes this year he can grow and make a difference on campus. Zachary is also an avid RC enthusiast and enjoys flying model planes on the weekend. In order to stay active he enjoys playing soccer and Ultimate Frisbee on the weekends as well as hanging out with friends and family.

 

Misha Garg, Webmaster

Misha Garg is a second year Biomedical Engineering student. Currently, she is on exchange from the University of Auckland and is excited to be enrolled in UC Merced for the Fall semester. She chose this team because she likes researching and developing new ideas, and hopes to get some practical work experience with this project. She has aide range of research interests but has recently found a deep interest in stem cell research. Whence isn't studying or going to class, she can be found baking, binge watching TV shows or hanging out with her friends.

Steven Ng, Finance Officer

Steven Ng is a senior pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering. He has always had an interest in computer science, particularly in application and database development and management. During his time at UC Merced he has been able to take a number of classes that solidified his interests in the field such as database and application design. His hobbies include video gaming and trading card games. In the past, Steven has worked on undergraduate research assistant and hopes to apply the experience in this new projects.

Bryan Dominguez, Intellectual Property Officer

Bryan Dominguez is a second year Computer Science and Engineering student. One of the main reasons why he chose that team was because he wanted to assist in the making of additional uses for resources within the present-day laboratories. In the sense that resources may be made more accessible and functional Bryan has previously digitalized educational documents for classroom use. On his free time he enjoys to discover new music. Bryan is delightful when it comes to sharing his knowledge regarding technology and gadgets.

Armando Mora

Armando Mora is a first year Mechanical Engineering student. He chose Instructional Lab 1 because it would give him the opportunity of engineering all while collaborating with a team to complete a task. Armando has worked previously on a high school robotics team and throughout his years he has served as a business director and as an engineering director. If Armando isn’t in his room studying he is with his friends at the gym or eating.

Kyle Lindbergh

Kyle Lindbergh is a first year Mechanical Engineering student. Kyle Lindbergh is a team member of the Engineering Service Learning Team Instructional Lab one. He choose this team hoping to help other students pursuing Mechanical engineering to have more hands on opportunities in lab experiments. Academically, Kyle is interested in furthering the capability of space travel and the development of spacecraft. He has created a few interactive science museum pieces that demonstrates the possibility and scientific aspects of flight and space travel. Kyle also enjoys spending time reading books about space travel and learning new material.

Ashley St .Marie

Ashley St. Marie is a first year student at UC Merced and has an intended major in Mechanical Engineering. She decided to enroll in this class to help better her knowledge of engineering and problem solving within the community. Ashley has also been a member of MESA for two years, where she began developing her interest in engineering. When she is not in school, Ashley enjoys helping her father design mechanical solutions to problems he comes across in his line of work, at a food processing plant.

Siqi Peng

Siqi Peng is a first year Mechanical Engineering student who just transfer from East Los Angeles College. Siqi is a member of the Instructional Lab 1 team. He chose the Engineering Service Learning team Instructional Lab 1 class because he love to design think and build thinks since he was a young boy, and he always have some novel design ideas want to share and to make it happen. Siqi Volunteered for Procon Engineering Inc, but he work as a sales Manager. He do not have any engineering group work experience yet but it will be one of his learning outcomes from this class. When he is not studying or going to class, he can be found playing basketball, playing saxophone, playing Counter Strike or watching movie.
