Instructional Lab II Team for Fall 2014

Karen Turcios (Team Leader)

Karen is a third year Mechanical Engineering major at the University of California, Merced. Her skills set include public speaking, minor Java, labVIEW, and Autocad knowledge, and exposure to the Heat Transfer lab. She is also an autodidact and adapts quickly to situations.

Juan Carlos Hernandez (Deputy Leader)

Juan Carlos Hernandez is a second year Mechanical Engineering student at UC Merced with minors in Applied Mathematics and Physics. Juan is knowledgeable with Arduino, LabVIEW, and other applications. Moreover, he has over a year of experience working in the heat transfer labs here at UC Merced. For fun Juan enjoys being outdoors and programming a myriad of devices.

Joshua Reynoso (Inventory and Finance Officer)

Joshua Reynoso is a first year Computer Science and Engineering major at UC Merced. He is able to perform in a timely manner and program in Java and C++. He is fond of archery and camping.

Jovana Salado (Student Advisory Committee)

Jovana Salado is a first year majoring in Material Science and Engineering at University of California, Merced. Some of her skill sets include working together in projects. Some of her personal hobbies include going camping and helping out in the community.

Francisco X Diaz (Communications Officer)

Francisco Diaz is a sixth year Mechanical Engineering student at University of California, Merced. Some of his skill sets include effective public speaking, and knowledge of fluid dynamics and thermodynamics. His interests and hobbies include automotives, aeronautics, and exploring the outdoors.

Hang Liang (Intellectual Property Officer)

Hang is a freshmen in the Computer Science and Engineering program at University of California, Merced. His skillset includes the abilities to search Google and to quickly learn and adapt.

Huimin Zhang (Webmaster)

Huimin Zhang is a first year Computer Science and Engineering major at UC Merced. He has extensive experience with web content management systems and likes to manage Linux systems in his spare time.

LaDejah Dillard (Sub-team Leader)

LaDejah is a first year Computer Science and Engineering student at UC Merced. LaDejah is very hardworking and persistent, and also works well in a team. LaDejah enjoys exploring the outdoors and hanging out with friends.

Neekole Acorda (Sub-team Leader)

Neekole is a senior majoring in Microbiology and Immunology, with minors in Public Health and Cognitive Science at the University of California at Merced. Her professional skills include prior solar/thermal energy research experience. On her free time, she enjoys creating new recipes to cook and bake and exploring new places.

Arjun Kohli

Arjun is a first year Bioengineering major at University of California, Merced. Arjun Kohli has volunteered more than a hundred hours at the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in wound and spinal cord injury therapy. Arjun's hobbies include carpentry, and playing piano and basketball. Arjun is constantly trying new things, and is currently trying to gain work experience in the engineering field.

Craig Berger

Craig Berger is a senior in the Mechanical Engineering major at the University of California, Merced. He is skilled in fluid mechanics and has experience with 3D modeling and solar concentrator modeling, as well as constructing small items from prop-making with a 3D printer.

Jose Edgardo Medina

Jose Edgardo Medina is a fifth year Mechanical Engineering student at UC Merced. Some of his skills include knowledge of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics, and working well in teams. Some of his hobbies include hiking and exploring the outdoors.

Kyle Garozzo

Kyle Garozzo is a fifth year Mechanical Engineering student at UC Merced. His skills include knowledge of heat transfer and fluid mechanics concepts, as well as working well in a team. One of his fields of interest is aerospace technology and engineering.

Noel Duenas

Noel is a first year Mechanical Engineering major at UC Merced. He is familiar with computers and electronics, and very organized. Also, he works well in teams, is good at public speaking and hard-working, and enjoys spending time with family.

Raymond Yang

Raymond is a first year Mechanical Engineering student at University of California, Merced. He enjoys teaching others in topics such as renewable energy. He is fond of drawing and reading about history.
