Joseph Camaddo - Project ManagerJoseph Camaddo is a second year environmental engineering student. Joseph chose the Instructional Labs 2 team because he is fascinated by solar technologies and advancements that can have huge impacts on the environment. In high school, he took engineering classes that sparked his interest in the field. Joseph knows how to use 3D modeling software as well as some basic programming. In his spare time he likes to play guitar and listen to music, he also enjoys playing video games. |

Greg Mellos - Assistant Project ManagerGreg Mellos is a second year Mechanical Engineering student. He chose to join this team in order to better understand solar power, hoping that one day renewable energy will replace fossil fuel power plants. While at UC Merced, Greg is a current officer in the newly reestablished Society of Automotive Engineers; currently the group is attempting to create a fully electric vehicle under the supervision of Dr. Chen. When not in class he can be found watching a movie with friends. |

Kelly Zaldana - Intellectual Property OfficerKelly Zaldana is a third year Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Major. She chose to participate in this project because it provides a chance to further solar energy research and build a sustainable future. Kelly is also involved in the Stable Isotope Ecology Lab and has been working on research in the Merced Vernal Pool Reserve. She enjoys playing with her two animals, a dog and a cat, and would like to own a farm with many more someday. |

Elissa Espinoza - Procurement and Finance OfficerElissa Espinoza is a fifth year Material Science and Engineering student. She chose this team because it gave her an opportunity to apply her knowledge from her previous classes as well as to learn and gain new hands-on skills. Academically, Elissa is interested in nanotechnology. She spent the past 4 years as a collegiate member of the sorority, Delta Gamma. |

Salvador Padilla - Communications OfficerSalvador Padilla is a third-year Materials Science and Engineering student. Science is only limited by the tools used to conduct it. With that in mind, Salvador chose this team to help develop an instrument that will be utilized in the progress of scientific endeavors. As a Junior Transfer, Salvador is new to UC Merced and very excited to engage with its community and reciprocate its generosity. |

Arjon Kohli - Team MemberArjun Kohli is an aspiring bioengineer. Along with a rigorous major, Arjun strives to participate in many projects. He is currently the sub-team leader for the Evacuated Tube and Microchannel system in Instruction Lab 2. He’s had lab experience in the Relman Laboratory of Stanford and volunteer experience in the therapy department in Santa Clara County Hospital. Arjun hopes to specialize in bio-printing with his bioengineering major. |

Christian Tran - Team LeaderChristian Tran is a first year bioengineering student. He was interested in this team because of how the team plans to benefit from the sun. Christian is barely a first year and does not know if his schedule will fit any clubs or organizations however he does try to stay active by going to the gym and being aware of news. |

Raymond Yang - Team LeaderRaymond Yang is a second year mechanical engineering student. He is the Team Leader Team 2, in charge of the pump and the water tank. Having been here since the project inception, Raymond chose Instructional Labs 2 because he was interested in solar technology and for their ability to impact the world. Raymond’s involvement in Science Olympiad exposed him to the wonders of science and engineering and his internship at NASA interested him in astronautics. In his spare time, he builds rockets and writes. |

Mark Armstrong – Team MemberMark Armstrong is a first year Computer Science Engineering student. He is a member of the sensors team which researches and implements flow and temperature sensors into the project schematic. Mark chose to join this team seeking an opportunity to acquire colleagues and prepare him for later jobs by learning how to function as a part of an interdependent community with a common goal. Mark's programming experience provides the benefit to his team of using microcontrollers to monitor and record data. |

Kevin Tien - Team MemberKevin Tien is a second year mechanical engineering student. He chose it because the aspect of a renewable and self sufficient water heating system was very alluring, and the possibility of real word experience from this is invaluable. Academically, Kevin is interested in the inner mechanisms that allows modern day machines to function the way they do. In his spare time Kevin relaxes with either video games or browsing the news for topics to joke about. |

Edward Nghiem - Team MemberEdward is a third year Bioengineering student. He is part of the group in charge of the vacuum. Edward chose to take Instructional Lab 2 to learn the necessary skills to succeed in a real project setting. His main research interests are applications of viruses as drug transportation and the integration of technology and biology. In his spare time, Edward is a pianist and enjoys classical and jazz music. |

Mark Radgowski - Team MemberMark Radgowski is a first year Computer Science and Engineering student. He chose this team because he wants to put the world on a better path towards a more sustainable world as well as receive the hands on experience employers search for. Academically, Mark is interested in learning how software and the hardware in machines work together to create more advanced and dependable drones, computers, etc. In his spare time, Mark is participating in his wrestling club, the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics club, as well as the Automotive club. |

Roberto Nava - Team memberRoberto Nava is a fourth year BioEngineering student. He decided to join this team to learn more about the methods and instruments that use the Sun as its energy sources. He is also involved with Mesa Lab helping with their research by just doing image processing or do the jobs given by Tiebiao Zhao. He is part of a club called Omega Leo, which is a community based club. Outside of school Roberto hangs out with his friends and plays video game when possible |

Jason Gutierrez - Team MemberJason Gutierrez is currently a 4th year mechanical engineering undergraduate. He is chose Engineering Service Learning in the hopes of learning realistic skills that can be applied later in the career of an engineer. Jason is interested in entering the automotive engineering industry after graduation, and spends most of his free time asleep. |
