Juan De La Cruz Intellectual Property Officer Juan De La Cruz is a third-year student pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. De La Cruz is on the Get Set Engineering Service Learning team. De La Cruz wants to maximize his professional development by taking this course, which provides him exposure to real-world dilemmas and mimics a professional work setting. As an undergraduate student, De La Cruz manages the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineer’s 3D printer, where he creates and prints parts for projects. De La Cruz strives to be an inspiration to children from his community by being a professional in the STEM field as a person of color. |

Takezo Fishburn Team Member Takezo Fishburn is a fourth-year student pursuing a B.S. in Biology with an emphasis on Evolution and Ecology. Fishburn holds a strong passion for the sustainability of the environment and wants to make changes in society so others can hold the same passion. By joining the Get Set Engineering Service Learning team, he has gained the experience to collaborate with the community to make it a better place. After graduation, Fishburn will pursue his passion and practice the skills that he has gained while serving on this project. |

Susan Guerrero Team Member Susan Guerrero is a first-year student pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering and is a member of the Get SET Engineering Service Learning team. Guerrero joined the project in order to build a stronger foundation in all different engineering disciplinary fields. As a member, Guerrero hopes to develop new skills that will allow her to grow as a professional woman in the STEM field. Michael Issa Team Member Michael Issa is a fourth-year student pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering. Issa is a passionate team member of the Get Set Engineering Service Learning team. Issa chose this project because it gives him the opportunity to help high school students learn and practice physics concepts. Academically, Issa is interested in coding and using his codes to help the campus function more thoroughly. In his free time, you can find Issa playing soccer or coding his own programs that are geared towards assisting others. |

Puneet Pal Kaur Financial Officer Puneet Pal Kaur is a student pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering and is the financial officer of the Get Set Engineering Service Learning team. Kauris working on this project to help high school students learn the concepts of physics using real-life applications. Kaur has worked as a Computer Science Ambassador, where she was in charge of maintaining the company website with various tasks that included: managing layouts, adding content, and managing social media. In the future, Kaur wants to become a web and graphic designer. |

Aishwaria Rangasamy Communications Officer Aishwaria Rangasamy is a first-year student pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering and is the communications officer of the Get SET Engineering Service Learning team. Being part of this team allows her the opportunity to gain experience working on a real project that provides a positive impact on the community. In the past, Rangasamy has coordinated several volunteer events with her local hospital and community. Professionally, Rangasamy would like to work on product development of new technologies with AI technology incorporated into them. |

Helen Rincon Assistant Project Manager Helen Rincon is a first-year student pursuing a B.A. in Psychology and is the Assistant Project Manager of the Get SET Engineering Service Learning team. Building and creating projects have always been an interest since Rincon’s childhood and she spends her free time volunteering and managing local community events in Oxnard, CA. Through this project, Rincon plans to help her team reach their goal and gain experience working hands-on with engineers. Rincon is interested in a career within the federal justice system and local departments and plans to obtain a Ph.D. in criminal psychology and applying for the FBI. |

Victor Rubio Team Leader Victor Rubio is a third-year student pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and is the team leader for the Get SET Engineering Service Learning team. In his time at the university, Rubio has been able to participate in organizations like the Society of Automotive Engineers club and the Ingenieros Unidos organization. Rubio’s main aspiration is to obtain a career in the automotive industry. Through this course, he plans on using his technical competencies in order to complete a successful project that provides a great learning outcome. |

Participating in this project allows him to contribute back to the community. Tan believes that supporting the community by providing the needed resources is essential. With his experience of hosting educational middle and high school level workshops, Tan hopes to collaborate with his team to create an amazing lesson plan for the students in the Le Grand community. Vazquez has always been a strong advocate for STEM education for all and by participating in this project, he has the perfect opportunity to aid high school students to receive the best STEM education possible. Academically, Vazquezis interested in many research areas such as nanotechnology, alternative energy, robotics, and aerospace. Vazquez plans on using the skills he learns in this project to pursue undergraduate research so he can fulfill his life goal of helping others through engineering. |
