Help us help you.
The Foster Family Center for Engineering Service Learning actively seeks nonprofit community partners willing to provide meaningful design challenges to our Engineering Service Learning teams in exchange for innovating solutions to your engineering challenges, access to new technology, and opportunities to help develop the next generation of skilled workers.
Student design teams, mentored by UC Merced faculty members, work alongside community partners to implement engineering solutions to meet their needs. Our partners can improve existing services, launch new programs, and try new and innovative ideas while helping students gain meaningful, real-life engineering experience.
Engineering Service Learning teams provide engineering design services and prototypes to our community partners free of charge – an even better value in these uncertain economic times. The Foster Center works with community partners to raise the necessary funds to implement future expansions of the products offered.
