It's built, used and supported by an active and diverse community of people around the world, and specifically by UC Merced. This workshop will focus on formating and the migration of content into the Drupal platform.

GIS Concepts and Essentials

This workshop, provided by UC Merced’s new Spatial Analysis and Research Center (SpARC) will review the concepts of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and how spatial analysis can be applied to engineering projects. Students are provided an overview of software, hardware, data and methods used for spatial analysis and will work on a brief hands-on exercise. ​

Mapping and Analysis Using Google Maps Engine & Fusion Tables

This four hour workshop, provided by UC Merced’s Spatial Analysis and Research Center (SpARC) will build on previous GIS-Essentials Skill Sessions and explore mapping and anaytical techniques using Google Maps and fusion tables in real world projects.  Students are provided the opportunity to work on real GIS applications. GIS Session 1 is highly recommended for participants.
